I came to chiropractic after sustaining a work related injury. The
injury was severe enough to prevent me from working, but did not require
surgery. I was reluctant to take medications,
and was referred to a chiropractic doctor. Although I had little knowledge
of chiropractic care, the non-surgical and drug free approach to health
care and treatment appealed to me. After several weeks of treatment
my back was much better and pain free. I was very happy with the results,
and returned to work full-time. The experience changed my life and career
path - I decided to become a doctor of chiropractic
(DC). As a board certified, state appointed qualified medical evaluator
and licensed chiropractor, I specialize in workers' compensation issues,
with an emphasis on treating injured workers. I teach the California
workers' compensation labor code, as well as ergonomics and injury prevention
to many bay area companies and municipalities. I am a consultant for
other doctors on workers' compensation related issues and am developing
continuing education courses on the subject.
