Services Offered

We provide the following work comp-related services. Contact us for more information or sample reports.

Permanent and Stationary (P&S) Reports

Doctors treating injured workers are permitted to refer their P&S report writing obligation to another doctor (LC 4061.5). This usually occurs because the treating doctor has too many patient obligations to spend the required time to write the extensive reports. If the P&S report is not properly written, it may affect the insurance company's evaluation of the case. A properly written, ratable, and supportable report can significantly change the outcome of a claim, often in the patient's favor.

We specialize in work comp, including effectively written P&S reports, and provide this service to doctors in the San Francisco Bay Area. See the FAQs page for more information about P&S Reports.

Co-Management

In this age of specialization, patients are often seen by a group of doctors and other health care providers. While each health care professional plays an important role in the patient's recovery, health care providers rely on each other for co-management support. We offer co-management services for health care providers including medical and orthopedic doctors, neurologists, physiatrists, physical therapists, and other chiropractors. See the FAQs page for more information about co-management.

Ergonomic Evaluations

Hours of uninterrupted work at a computer can cause symptoms that include wrist, forearm, shoulder, neck, and low back pain. This type of problem is often referred to as "silicon valley syndrome." If these symptoms are the result of poor workstation arrangement, the treatment received may have little value if the cause of the problem--the workstation--is not addressed. Doctors can order ergonomic evaluations for their patients. We have evaluated hundreds of workstations ranging from computers to microscopes. A detailed report is provided with each person's evaluation. See the FAQs page for more information about ergonomic evaluations.

Workers' Compensation Consulting

The Workers' Compensation system is very complex and always changing. We assist other health care professionals in navigating through the complex work comp system to aid their compliance with the rules and regulations that are specific to California. We are available for private consultation over the telephone, via email, or in person.

QME / AME / IME

Sometimes, the insurance carrier or employer disputes a case. A Qualified Medical Evaluation helps determine how the case will progress and whether an injury is compensable. Also, cases are often referred for a QME evaluation to determine levels of disability. We provide Qualified, Agreed, and Independent Medical Evaluations.
